Bethell’s parent company, Bank and Vogue, is said to be the largest full-service broker of used goods in North America. The group’s retail arm is Beyond Retro, a leading vintage fashion specialist in Europe. BVH Services is the group’s innovation hub, which works to spearhead and develop innovations across the fashion field, specifically centered around sustainability.

Accelerating Circularity is a non-profit that creates new supply chains and business models to turn textile waste into mainstream raw materials. It envisions a world where textiles are no longer wasted. Its approach is to research, map, model, and test circular, textile-to-textile systems from collection, sorting, pre-processing, and recycling through the conventional supply chain at standard commercial scale.
Bethell and his companies are motivated by the belief that used clothing is not waste but a solution to addressing the “crisis of stuff,” a core value that aligns with Accelerating Circularity’s mission to “Put textiles to good use.”
