AUSTRALIA: Country Road’s US Operation Endures Bumpy Ride
Australian fashion retailer, Country Road, on Monday posted a A$4 million loss for the first six months to November 31 with the company attributing the bulk of the loss on its 20 stores in the United States. Chairman Mac Drysdale said that while the Australian operation roughly broke even its US operation struggled and a decision on its future would be made next month following a review by KPMG.
