AUSTRALIA: Discount Chains Accused Of Selling Unsafe Clothing
Three of Australia's leading discount retail chains have been publicly accused of ignoring warnings to stop selling dangerous toys and clothing. The New South Wales Fair Trading Department says it told the companies to remove the banned items last September, but that many were still on sale in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Dangerous products on sale at Go Lo, Crazy Prices and Crazy Clarks included sunglasses and children's nightwear.
