Avery Dennison plans to unveil its latest technology at the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT), which takes place from 28 February to 1 March.

Visitors will have the chance to see the company’s digital ID portfolio, including Avery Dennison’s connected product cloud atma.io.

Through interactive exhibits attendees will be able to see a diverse range of digital triggers such as QR codes and RFID, all enabling the comprehensive tracking of a product’s journey throughout the supply chain.

Avery Dennison will display its connected jersey, Swijin performance wear featuring digitally connected heat transfer labels, a digitally connected Byborre scarf, and Transnomadica vintage jeans embedded with digitally connected printed fabric labels. Embelex Agility HD heat transfers for sports jerseys, which can be digitally enabled will also be on display.

Avery Dennison sales director of apparel solutions Paul Nguyen and director of in-plant printing solutions and apparel solutions Alexandre Lalumiere will deliver a session on 28 February titled: ‘Connected Digital and Supply Chain Apparel Solutions for Greater Visibility, Enable Traceability with Maximum Efficiency and Better Consumer Engagement’.

VIATT 2024 will be hosted at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and is expected to feature an array of international and domestic exhibitors spanning textile and apparel.

Chau Nguyen, vice president and general manager of mainland Southeast Asia and apparel solutions, commented: “Vietnam stands as the world’s third-largest exporter of textiles and apparel while also ranking among the highest importers of textile machinery.

“While many retailers grasp the concept of digital ID technology, the real breakthrough lies in its potential to seamlessly link every aspect of the supply chain. Avery Dennison, with its distinctive position, aims to enlighten and empower retailers and manufacturers with end-to-end visibility.”

In November Avery Dennison completed the acquisition of Silver Crystal Group, a player in sports apparel customisation and application across in-venue, direct-to-business, and e-commerce.
