BANGLADESH: US May Lift Clothing Duties And Quotas
Bangladesh's export-oriented garment sector was given a boost on Monday after the US agreed it would consider proposals to lift duties and quotas at the end of its military campaign against "global terrorism". "The US officials assured that they will consider our proposals to provide duty and quota free access of Bangladesh garment products in their market after the war is over," Commerce Minister Amir Khasru Mahmood Chowdhury said.
