Rowing Blazers will join BCC’s established brand portfolio which includes brands like Staud, Solid & Striped, Danielle Guizio, BaubleBar, and Tory Burch.

The brand explained that selling its majority stake will allow it to hire in key positions, develop its women’s line, expand distribution, and grow retail footprint, starting with a new flagship store as early as Fall 2024.

As part of the agreement, Jack Carlson, founder of Rowing Blazers, will remain creative director of the brand, while co-founder David Rosenzweig will remain as director of strategy.

The brand shared that Rosenzweig will focus on collaborations and partnerships for Rowing Blazers.

To aid in these expansion plans, Rowing Blazers said it has appointed Grant Simm as the “first” CFO who has joined the brand from Aimé Leon Dore after serving as the CFO there for three years.

‘Customer-first policy, global expansion’ plans in store for Rowing Blazers

Chris Burch, who is the founder of BCC and co-founder of fashion brand Tory Burch, believes that with his team’s expertise Rowing Blazers can be turned into a “global” brand.

Burch’s plans for Rowing Blazers involves bringing customers more of the brand across new markets and categories.

He said: “Jack [Carlson] has created an extraordinary brand that is reminiscent of my first apparel business, Eagle’s Eye. It gives me great joy to partner with Jason Epstein and Tom Vellios on this acquisition. They are two extraordinary entrepreneurs, deal makers and brand creators.”

According to Carlson, this partnership will allow his brand to do things that couldn’t be done previously, like reaching new people, and providing better service and even better products to its existing community.

He stated: “I’m especially excited about developing womenswear. The demand is there, and I’ve seen how successful we’ve been with our women’s sheep sweater and our women’s collection for Target. There is no better partner for this next step than Burch Creative Capital and their partners, especially when it comes to excellence in production, operations, and quality — and when it comes to womenswear, Chris’ record, from Tory Burch to Staud, speaks for itself.”

Rowing Blazers, found in 2017, is said to have limited-edition collaborations with the likes of Seiko, Barbour, Tudor, Umbro, FILA, Noah, Tag Heuer, Gucci, and Target.
