CANADA: Far West Posts Slide In 2001 Sales
Leading designer and manufacturer of sportswear and outerwear, Far West Industries Inc, has posted an 11.7 per cent slide in 2001 sales to $9.3 million compared to the year-ago period. The Vernon-based company, which makes garments for various private labels as well as Gore-Tex, incurred a loss for 2001 of $609,267, or 13 cents per share, compared to a loss of $454,396, or 10 cents per share, for the year earlier.
