Carbios has become a member of Paris Good Fashion, an association that unites over 100 French players in the sector – brands, designers and experts – around their commitment to sustainable fashion.

Carbios said it is the first recycling technology supplier to join, demonstrating the importance given to recycling to achieve textile circularity. By contributing its solution for the biorecycling of polyester, the world’s most widely used and fastest-growing textile fibre, Carbios aims to contribute Paris Good Fashion’s mission, which focuses on concrete actions, best practice sharing and collective intelligence to accelerate change in the fashion industry.

Carbios will be particularly involved in the association’s project to set up a working group dedicated to the development of a “fibre-to-fibre” industry, one of Paris Good Fashion’s top priorities over the next five years. While only 1% of textiles are currently recycled fibre-to-fibre (circular), this working group will identify levers for significantly increasing the share of recycled fibres in the industry.

Bénédicte Garbil, SVP of corporate affairs and sustainability said: “Becoming a member of Paris Good Fashion is an important step in Carbios’ development and an obvious one given our shared commitment to a circular textile industry. By uniting around textile circularity, Carbios and Paris Good Fashion’s members will further develop the “fibre-to-fibre” industry, a French industry that can be a driving force for change on the international stage for exemplary sustainable fashion.”

Isabelle Lefort, co-founder of Paris Good Fashion added: “The future of circular fashion will inevitably involve the development of an efficient fibre-to-fibre industry in Europe. The integration of Carbios within Paris Good Fashion, as a member, represents the importance of supporting and accompanying this industry. After the GRAAL project, which enabled us and the (RE)SET agency to analyse recycling technologies and support three of them, we are delighted to support Carbios. Together, we’ll be working to create an alliance of the players involved, so that we can move forward collectively, meaningfully and concretely.”

Earlier this month Carbios and closed-loop recycling company Landbell Group announced plans to increase post-consumer PET waste and textiles circularity at Carbios’ bio-recycling plant from 2026.
