Since 2025, Crystal International has procured 85,600 megawatt-hours (MWh) of green electricity and I-RECs, offsetting 45,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.

I-RECs, which certify the purchase of electricity produced from renewable sources, have become a key tool for the manufacturer to support its renewable energy commitments when on-site solar cannot meet all needs.
Three of Crystal International’s intimate apparel factories in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka now run on 100% renewable electricity on a market-based accounting basis by combining on-site solar PV systems with certified green power purchasing.
The company’s portfolio now includes 24.6MW of installed solar PV capacity, alongside a growing reliance on sourced renewable electricity.
In February this year, Crystal International Group also announced it is expanding its smart production operations by establishing a new logistics centre in China, which the company stated will be powered by a rooftop solar PV system.
By 2030, the company aims to scale up these measures to all manufacturing sites, matching all grid consumption with renewables and certificates.
These efforts are part of the group’s broader Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030 and Net Zero 2050 roadmap.
Its net zero strategy includes a range of measures such as adopting renewable energy, improving productivity, increasing energy efficiency, and using alternative fuels.

While we continue to invest in on-site solar PV, market-based instruments such as I-RECs and green electricity purchase enable us to support renewable electricity generation while expanding access to clean energy solutions.”
