Colour management technology specialist Datacolor has launched a new suite of digital web-based solutions to help textile and apparel brands, suppliers, mills, and dye houses execute production more effectively, while delivering greater transparency.
The Color Lifecycle Management suite includes Datacolor Certify and ColorHub, both designed to eliminate common colour bottlenecks in the production process that can lead to slower speed to market, increased costs and overall poor product quality.
Datacolor Certify includes colour assessment services and lab audit programmes that will help brands and vendors guarantee mills are working with clean work environments and calibrated, certified equipment, as well as educated, trained operators.
While ColorHub is a cloud-based depository of lab dip and production colour data, that can help ensure shade consistency and quality by identifying colour issues and taking corrective action in real time.
“We continually seek to develop new colour management solutions that meet our customers’ needs within today’s complex global supply chain,” says Dustin Bowersox, market manager, textiles and apparel, Datacolor.
“This series of solutions is intended to address several pain points for the textile and apparel supply chain, allowing brands to make better sourcing decisions based on mill performance and sophistication while allowing suppliers to improve operational efficiency by providing real-time data into the quality and consistency of their products.”
