The Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI) will explore the post-pandemic digital opportunity for the UK’s fashion sector and why digital transformation has become an imperative rather than an aspiration in a webinar next month.
The event is the second in ASBCI’s ‘Beyond 2020’ series, which brings together experts in consumer behaviour and data analysis, logistics, and retail for an in-depth look at how the pandemic has changed consumer buying patterns and how retailers can adapt to stay ahead.
‘Smart Consumers Beyond 2020 – the post-pandemic digital opportunity’ will take place at 10.30 am (GMT) on 3 March and will be held in partnership with Eurofins.
Martin Corcoran from Summit Media will analyse the way some retailers are using online as their primary marketing and sales channels, and how, alongside the likes of Google, Facebook and Amazon, they have changed the game when it comes to acquiring and retaining customers.
The webinar will also cover the expansion of omni-channel strategies as retailers drive sales by increasing the number and variety of routes to market. Drawing on the experiences of multiple retailer clients as well as data from research conducted in August 2020, Advanced Supply Chain Group business and client development director Caroline Ellis and Will Robinson, business solutions director, will provide insights into not only how retailers have responded to the challenges of the pandemic, but also the longer-term trends that can and will impact supply chains and stock inventory management going forward. They will also delve into the technologies that retailers can use to operate an intelligent supply chain.
The speakers will then be joined by Frazer Mead, head of global sourcing at The Very Group, for a live panel debate and Q&A, moderated by Dr Julie King, ASBCI event director.
