London-based apparel sourcing event Fashion SVP is to undergo a major expansion, led by the launch of a dedicated knitwear focus.
Fashion SVP is aimed at brands and retailers who buy direct from factories, and provides buyers with the opportunity to meet apparel manufacturers from 20 countries.

Taking place on 15-16 January at London Olympia, next year’s event will include a new knitwear and jerseywear initiative.
Featuring more than 40 major international producers of jersey wear casuals, traditional knits and knitted accessories, the new section Knit Solutions “will interest all brands and buyers looking for innovation and inspiration from the knitwear and jersey wear segment”, according to event organiser IDEX.
“The relentless expansion of the UK’s only international sourcing show continues with this exciting new development. We have teamed up with the top names in international knitwear to present Knit Solutions, a curated selection of the finest knitwear production on the planet,” says Fashion SVP’s CEO Buzz Carter. “This is very much in line with what senior buyers have been saying they would like to see more of at the show.”
The knitwear launch follows the introduction of Source Denim, a denim fabric and clothing show that launched at this year’s June edition of Fashion SVP. Source Denim is expected to double in size for January.
