The move follows Texhibition’s March 2026 edition, which attracted more than 20,000 professional visitors, including 5,565 from overseas.
The fair covers a broad range of textile categories across its five halls, including knitted and woven fabrics, printed fabrics, artificial leather, denim, yarn, knitting, embroidery, lace and accessories.
International exhibitors and technical textiles take focus
The international dimension of the event has also expanded, with four new exhibitors from Italy and Japan joining the September edition.
Italian companies CAFISSI and Lanificio Brunetto Morganti add to the fair’s wool fabric and wool collection offering, while Japan’s STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA brings a broad fabric portfolio and international network. UNI TEXTILE, also from Japan, has a stronger focus on synthetic fabrics.
Texhibition is also introducing the SmartTex HUB for its latest edition, bringing technical textiles into the event through a focus on functional textiles and advanced technology applications. The area showcases solutions centred on sustainability, innovation and high performance, complementing the Texhibition Innovation Hub in the foyer.
The Innovation Hub explores the intersection of technology, design and next-generation materials, with featured developments including hemp, bio-microencapsulation and thermal regulation.
Creative direction, curatorship, content and presentation for the Innovation Hub have been jointly undertaken by Filiz Tunca and Gamze Saraçoğlu.
The hub is designed to demonstrate the progression from research and technology through material development and design, with technical data sheets, fabric specifications and Hub Talks accompanying the physical displays.
AI and future trends move up the agenda
Technology and AI are also gaining greater prominence at this year’s event, with companies including A.I.T. and Docode showcasing developments at the intersection of textiles, technology and AI.
The organisers said the focus reflects a broader shift in the textile sector, where innovation is increasingly being shaped by the interaction between materials expertise, technology, design and new production processes.
Alongside its sourcing and technology offer, Texhibition is also looking ahead to Autumn/Winter 2027–2028 through its Trend Areas.
This season’s overarching theme, “Traces of Time – Carrying the Past into the Future”, explores four thematic worlds – Earth, Water, Light and Sky – translating them into future colour palettes, material characteristics, tactile innovations and surface trends.
WGSN and Fashion Snoops are contributing to the trend forecasting programme, while Riccardo Rami Studio is contributing a dedicated seminar.
The event’s Blue Black denim platform is also placing Türkiye’s denim capabilities in focus, bringing together manufacturers, fabric developments, washes, surface treatments and production approaches.
A dedicated Denim B2B Area is designed to connect manufacturers with international buyers through pre-arranged and direct meetings focused on sourcing and production requirements.
