FRANCE: Italian Shoe Maker Buys Sacair I, 150 Jobs Lost
A French court has approved Italian shoe manufacturer’s Petrini takeover of bankrupt French shoe maker Sacair I for an undisclosed sum.
The decision means around 150 employees of Sacair I will lose their jobs at its facilities in western France. The company went into receivership in June and posted a net loss of $1.5 million for 2001.
