FRANCE: Jobs Saved As Shoemaker Buys Footwear Firm
Upmarket French shoemaker Chene-Vincent is to buy Lyon-based luxury footwear manufacturer Accessoires after the firm went into receivership. The deal will see Chene-Vincent keep on the vast majority of Accessoires' 130 employees who produce around 130,000 pairs of luxury shoes a year but feared they would lose their jobs after the company called in the receivers last November.
