FRANCE: Shoe Firm Fourmi To Close

French footwear manufacturer Fourmi has been placed in receivership after filing for bankruptcy on two previous occasions. The company's 80 employees will be dismissed. Fourmi, which is owned by the shoemaker Degorce, last filed for bankruptcy in January 2001 but was given court-approval to continue its business.
