Apparel software and systems supplier Gerber Technology has launched a new e-commerce platform to help customers more easily track down parts or services for their Gerber equipment.
The new Gerber eStore launch is part of the firm’s new product launch plan for 2019 which will, essentially, see the company renew its entire portfolio.
“We are striving to help our base of over 75,000 customers to remain competitive by reducing administration, increasing automation and leveraging technology for success,” explains Brandy Moore, vice president, global service and aftermarket for Gerber Technology.
As the company points out, in day-to-day manufacturing operations, having the right parts and consumables at the right time is essential to ensuring uptime, quality and helping to keep operating costs on budget.
The eStore update includes clickable drawings and 3D models to streamline part identification, selection and purchasing. It will also suggest parts that are commonly purchased together to ensure a user doesn’t forget to order something. Likewise, the re-ordering process has been simplified based on past orders, and a list of part numbers can be bulk uploaded to decrease the need to manually key in data. Users also have the ability to track their order shipment and invoice status online.
