UK-based fitness brand Gymshark has invested in a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to help streamline its product-related processes and boost speed and accuracy.

Founded as a screen-printing operation in a garage in 2012, today Gymshark is a globally recognised sportswear brand, retailing online to customers in 170 countries.

It has selected Centric Software’s PLM solution to help users across design, materials, product development, sourcing and production to collaborate.

“We risked delays and errors because we were using multiple manual working documents simultaneously across our product teams,” says Justine McCarthy, product development director at Gymshark. “Speed and accuracy were the primary drivers of the PLM project. We wanted one version of the truth that people could use with confidence to bring products to market faster and more efficiently.”

McCarthy adds with greater visibility and one version of the truth, Gymshark’s goal is to speed up every process in its product creation calendar, reduce errors and function in a much-improved way to support the firm’s growth.
