Due to take place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 7-9 November, the International Apparel Federation (IAF) 36th World Fashion Convention will be held back-to-back with the ninth European Confederation of Apparel and Textiles (Euratex) Convention.
The IAF Convention will bring together senior apparel industry representatives from across the supply chain under the theme ‘Transition of the Global Fashion System’.

David Sävmann, head of supply chain at the H&M Group, will be among the speakers alongside industry analyst John Thorbeck who will present a business case highlighting the strong link between a transition of business processes and improved sustainability.
Keynote presentations include a global retailer’s objectives for collaboration with its suppliers, and an overview of global apparel business trends, while a panel discussion will focus on how the fashion industry and fashion education can work together to accelerate changing and more sustainable business processes.
Other talking points include digitalisation and how to change the industry’s predominant business model by reducing waste and increasing value.
While the 36th World Fashion Convention on 8 November views industry transition through the lens of global supply chain collaboration, the Euratex conference on 9 November takes a legislative perspective.
