INDIA: Garment Industry Told To Adopt “Fresh Strategy”
India#;s textile industry has been told it needs to urgently come up with a range of new initiatives and strategies that will boost its exports during the current global economic slowdown.
Speaking at the country#;s 28 International Garment Fair, Federal Textile Minister Kashiram Rana said urgent action was needed as textile exports for January-September 2001 plunged to US$3.9 billion from $4.25bn the previous year.
