INDIA: New Figures Show Garment Exports Fell Heavily Last Month
India's main export product - ready-made garments - plunged nearly 16 per cent last month to around $275 million after showing signs of revival in October, official figures revealed on Thursday. According to the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), garment exports to quota countries during November fell 9.1 per cent in terms of quantity to 82 million pieces from 90.3 million pieces last year.
