INDONESIA: Thousands Of Garment Workers Set To Lose Their Jobs
More than 5,000 garment industry workers are set to lose their jobs following a slump in orders from Europe and the US in the wake of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon. Industry sources in the Bogor region claim that since the airline atrocities there has been no overtime at the district's many garment factories, with many workers now working shifts every other week.
