ITALY: Knitwear Firm Stefanel Posts Nine Month Loss
Italian knitwear and casual clothing company Stefanel has announced a pre-tax loss of three million euros ($2.7m) for the nine months to September 2001. The firm, which owns the brands Sigma, Stefanel, SPQR City, Ingrorose and New England, reported turnover of 188.8m euros ($168.3m) and a gross operating profit of 103m euros ($92m) for the period.
