ITALY: Shoe Maker Geox Expecting Excellent 2002
Leading Italian footwear producer Geox on Thursday posted a slight rise in 2001 turnover but said it expects that figure to jump by as much as 40 per cent in 2002. The Treviso-based company said its turnover climbed to $137 million last year from $132.2m in 2000. It produced 3.8 million pairs of shoes and expects that number to reach five million this year.
