ITALY: Yarn, Textile And Apparel Exports Fall
Italian yarn exports fell 12.9 per cent in the first half of this year with textile and apparel exports down 14.6 per cent compared to the year-ago period, officials said on Friday. Industry chiefs added that in the first six months of 2002 yarn imports fell 17.8 per cent and textile imports slipped 6.8 per cent. The figures were released during a yarn exhibition in Florence.
