JAPAN: Jeans Trade Demands Deep Dye Denim
Deep-dye denim is making a major comeback in the Japanese casualwear trade, and to satisfy demand from one of its largest export markets US jeans fabric specialist Burlington has developed a "looks like black" range which fits in with the craze for dark tones. What makes the current deep dyes different from their predecessors is that the dye is formulated to gradually recede from the garments with time and wear - ultimately fading to a very distinctively 2lst century soft grey tone.
