
The one-day Leicester Made event, which is organised by Fashion-Enter and sponsored by Kornit Digital, Alvanon, Style3D and the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI), will host up to 60 exhibitors.
The organisers hope the show will help to rebuild UK manufacturing and encourage onshore production as well as drive sustainable and circular fashion systems.
It will also showcase the advances being made in AI, 3D design, and fashion technology.
Leicester Made also plans to bring together fashion suppliers, retailers, designers, industry professionals, policymakers, and tech innovators for a range of live topical panel discussions.
The day’s highlights include a CEO and C-suite roundtable discussion with Leicester West Member of Parliament (MP) Liz Kendall and fashion brands Next, Never Fully Dressed, John Lewis and Asos.
Other sessions will cover ethics, sustainability, onshoring, technology and the future of UK fashion with speakers, including:

The regional suppliers will share innovative and ethical manufacturing, dyeing, digital printing, finishing and textiles and there will be a fashion show curated by the organisers of Leicester Fashion Week.
Fashion-Enter Ltd and the Fashion Technology Academy CEO Jenny Holloway said: “Leicester has so much to offer brands with fast-track proximity sourcing and a complete supply chain within one region. We know of at least three high street retail brands now working successfully in Leicester. Onshoring is occurring now.”
In February, Holloway told Just Style it is “inevitable the UK will start to grow in garment manufacturing”.
She also pointed out the direction of fashion sourcing is to buy lower quantities at a higher price to get a read on the latest trends and asserted: “Who else can compete with this production within a two to three-week period? It’s impossible”.
