Mango is using TextileGenesis to trace its natural and animal fibres, synthetics, man-made cellulosic fibres and leather from the material stage through to its products reaching retail stores.

Mango has long been committed to maintaining a fully transparent supply chain, and TextileGenesis will reinforce this commitment.

Mango conducted a successful pilot in 2023 and has since scaled up its collaboration with TextileGenesis.

Mango has now traced over 6,000 tons of sustainable fibres and more than 40m finished product units across its value chain.

The platform has also allowed Mango to engage over 1,000 supply chain actors in 23 countries, creating visibility well beyond certified fibres to include conventional materials, leather and footwear.

TextileGenesis CEO Amit Gautam says: “Achieving such transparency presents a significant challenge for brands such as Mango, given the complexity of its global supply chains. Ensuring accurate traceability requires an advanced solution capable of providing detailed insights and verifiable data throughout every stage of production. We are happy to help Mango achieve its sustainability goals by embracing traceability and creating a transparent value chain.”

TextileGenesis asserts its digital traceability solution enables Mango to ensure a reliable, secure and fully digital mapping of its textiles and guarantees their authenticity and origins with unparalleled accuracy.

Mango has selected a comprehensive set of digital tools among TextileGenesis’ six-dimensional (6D) offering: the Fiber-to-Retail module for its sustainable certified fibres and the new product backward Supply Chain Discovery module for its conventional fibres.

This collaboration is said to reinforce Mango’s commitment to building a transparent value chain and could position the company as a frontrunner in preparing for upcoming regulations and evolving consumer expectations worldwide.

In October, TextileGenesis expanded its digital traceability offering by introducing a new function that enables suppliers to upload Haelixa DNA/forensic traceability certificates through a dedicated dropdown menu in its Fiber-to-Retail (FTR) module.
