Online visitor registration for one of the world’s leading textile and garment technology exhibitions, ITMA 2019, has opened today (18 September).
Held every four years, the exhibition will be staged at Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via venue, Spain, from 20-26 June 2019.
Last month, event organisers hailed the demand for space at next year’s event, adding that it is already fully booked despite the addition of two extra halls to the floor plan.
“ITMA 2019 exhibition space has been sold out since April, and many of our exhibitors will be using the platform to launch new machinery and innovative solutions,” says Fritz Mayer, president of Cematex, which owns the ITMA exhibition. “We expect interest from visitors to be very strong. Hence, visitors are advised to book their accommodation and buy their badge early.”
Visitors can now enjoy early bird rates – which Cematex says is up to 50% lower than the onsite rates – until 15 May 2019 when they buy badges online.

By GlobalDataIn addition to providing key information on the exhibition, the app helps visitors to plan their trip, with the potential to search more than 1,660 exhibitors by exhibit chapter and country, and shortlist the booths they would like to visit. Nearer the date of the exhibition, they will be able to locate them on the floorplan and plan their route.
“As ITMA is a huge exhibition, the app will be a useful tool to help exhibitors and visitors maximise their time and resources on site,” explains Sylvia Phua, managing director of ITMA Services which organises ITMA 2019. “An appointment scheduler will allow visitors to request meetings with exhibitors before they arrive at the show. The scheduler and online floorplan will be available from late April 2019.”
