The latest offering from Swedish odour control specialist Polygiene is a new combination technology said to eliminate the problem of clothes picking up external, everyday odours – smells like cooking fumes, cigarette smoke, musty damp mould, and pollution.

Odor Crunch particles abolish everyday smells in a continuous process that lasts the lifetime of the garment, according to the firm and, when included in the classic Polygiene treatment, the garments will be protected against odour both from inside and outside.”

The Polygiene treatment stops the growth of odour-causing bacteria on fabrics with treatments based on silver salt (silver chloride) made from recycled silver, that can be applied at the fabric stage or the finished garment stage.

“Our new combination technology addresses odour from sweat and the new added functionality of eliminating environmental odours that fulfills the Polygiene Stays Fresh promise to the end consumer,” says Niklas Brosnan, marketing manager for Polygiene.

Polygiene Odor Crunch will be presented at ISPO, the world’s largest trade fair for sporting goods and sportswear, taking place 3-6 February in Munich, Germany.
