Ethical jean maker Nudie Jeans says it is confident its long-term focus on sustainable services gives it an upper hand in the market post-Covid-19.

Nudie Jeans recently published its 2020 Sustainability Report in which it highlighted some of its sustainability achievements in the last year.

  • Ranked as Fair Wear Foundation leaders for the seventh consecutive year
  • Produced 98.6% sustainable products (containing at least 70% sustainable fibres)
  • Reached a new level of product transparency where it showed all tiers of the supply chain in its WI20 collection
  • Had 97% of its supply chain under monitoring
  • Placed in the Leading category in the Textile Exchange Material Change Index
  • Sourced 100% organic cotton
  • Launched the  Ture Recycled Blanket, made with recycled post-consumer Nudie jeans and recycled wool
  • Became GOTS Certified
  • Joined the Sag Salim programme – Supporting a grievance channel and capacity building for cotton farmers in Turkey.
  • Mapped all its emissions and water data from its full supply chain in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for the second year in a row.
  • Offset business’ full emissions through the UN Carbon Offset Platform
  • 45,900 repaired Nudie Jeans in 2020.
