US apparel business Perry Ellis International has inked a licensing deal with Comercial ECCSA/Ripley Corp for men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, accessories and footwear under the skate and surf sportswear Gotcha brand in Chile.
Gotcha collections are currently available in Tiendas Por Departamento Ripley Chile stores in the country.
“Our company is pleased to enter into a partnership with Ripley Department Store to maximise the potential of the Gotcha brand in Chile,” says Perry Ellis executive chairman, George Feldenkreis. “We feel Ripley will be a terrific partner for Gotcha and this license will enhance our global reach across product categories and geographies to drive further growth and profitability.”
Founded in 1956, Comercial ECCSA is one of the largest retail companies in Chile. The main business of Ripley is retail sales of apparel, accessories and home products through different department stores and via e-commerce, while the company also owns shopping malls in Chile and Peru. “We at Comercial ECCSA are very proud and excited to join the Gotcha family,” adds Raimundo Halabí Berardi, brand manager of Comercial ECCSA. “This fall we will be presenting not only surf related apparel but a full lifestyle collection. The line will consist of a wide range of men’s and women’s knits, woven’s, t-shirts, bottoms and surf accessories.”
