PORTUGAL: Textile Workers Protest Over Unpaid Wages
Around 300 workers from textile manufacturer Vouga Textil have staged a protest march over unpaid wages for December and Christmas bonuses, worth 375,000 euros ($0.32m). The group marched over three kms on Tuesday in the central Portugese town of Vouzela on Tuesday. The firm has had no manager since the beginning of this year and has run up debts of more than 600,000 euros ($0.5m).
