German sportswear brand Puma has created a dedicated board position for sourcing and promoted Anne-Laure Descours as chief sourcing officer.
Descours joined Puma in 2012 and has been overseeing the product development and sourcing activities of all global apparel and accessories for the group since then. Her new role will add responsibility for sustainability within the Puma group.
Primarily based in Hong Kong, she has also been appointed a member of the management board of Puma SE.
Prior to Puma, Descours worked for international sourcing organisations such as Li & Fung and Otto International, all based in Hong Kong.
In another move Puma has also announced the departure of its chief operating officer (COO), Lars Radoor Sørensen, effective today (31 January).
Sørensen joined Puma in 2013 and was appointed managing director in 2014. As COO, he was in charge of sourcing, IT and logistics. IT and logistics will now report to Puma’s chief financial officer Michael Lämmermann.
