Her appointment comes as the organisation works to overcome economic and structural barriers hampering the region’s transition to a more circular textile sector.

Moureaux, who joined ReHubs as Board Advisor in December 2025, brings more than 25 years of experience in technical textiles, advanced fibres, nonwovens, and circular innovation.

She succeeds Robert van de Kerkhof, who will continue to support the European alliance as chairman of the Board.

Under van de Kerkhof’s interim leadership, ReHubs intensified its engagement across the European textile sector and prioritised tackling investment and scale issues.

Moureaux said: “I’m proud to take on the role of CEO at such an important moment for ReHubs and our industry. The road ahead will be challenging, and breaking the supply-demand deadlock to scale textile-to-textile recycling in Europe will require an openness to collaboration across the value chain and the right conditions for investment.

“ReHubs has a strong community of organisations committed to making this transition happen, and I look forward to continuing to work with and support our members as we take this next step together.”

Europe’s textile recycling sector is currently grappling with a complex market landscape. Advances in recycling technology and legislative initiatives are increasing the pressure to recover more material, but ongoing uncertainty over demand for recycled textiles is deterring investment in new recycling capacity.

Meanwhile, brands seeking greater volumes of recycled fibres are faced with limited and sometimes unreliable supplies, according to the alliance.

ReHubs’ latest strategy, outlined in its ‘Breaking the Supply-Demand Deadlock’ action plan and supported by findings from a recent report with Boston Consulting Group, calls for enhanced collaboration among stakeholders along the textile value chain.

The organisation’s focus is on creating the economic conditions needed to build industrial-scale recycling infrastructure in Europe by 2035.

ReHubs co-chair of ReHubs and representative from Refashion Véronique Allaire Spitzer, said: “Europe is at a turning point for textile circularity. EPR is a powerful lever to translate ambition into action, but its success depends on practical solutions and close collaboration across the value chain. ReHubs can play this role at European level. Béatrice knows the organisation and its members well, and I am delighted to see her lead ReHubs into its next chapter.”
