The organisers explain the event is intensively used as a platform for CHIC Match Making as it presents networking opportunities for new business contacts, especially for supplier canvassing in the international fashion business.
The second half of the fair is aimed at providing an innovative, elaborate and inclusive platform for the supply chain of the fashion industry.
This Autumn event saw market leaders, newcomers and niche brands present the latest developments in the Chinese apparel market in three halls. In fact, the entire spectrum of garment production was on display, from suits, down jackets, creative womenswear to denim production.
Young talents were showcased as part of Emerging Fashion Talents and there was a separate section called the Moscow Export Centre, which was represented by 15 companies for the first time.
In addition to this, 18 match-making events, numerous seminars and workshops such as the 2023 China Apparel Livestream e-commerce supply chain summit, among others, instigated dialogue amid industry leaders, brands, organisations and visitors.

The organisers add that fashion shows at CHIC Shows reflected the upcoming season’s fashion trends.
Chen Dapeng, president of CHIC and China National Garment Association, says: “There are indeed many new top companies in China that are indispensable in the international supply chain. CHIC provides the necessary face-to-face forum for dialogue, networking and establishing business contacts. Industry leaders, including well-known brands, organisations and the trade come together here. The increased interest of the numerous international visitors proves the intercontinental interconnectedness of the fashion industry. CHIC acts as a service agency for the entire fashion industry and trade.”
CHIC is set to return next year with its Spring event from 6-8 March 2024 at the National Exhibition & Convention Centre in Shanghai.
It will be focused on brand presentations and retail with more than 1,600 exhibitors and brands expected to showcase, including international participants from countries like Italy and France.
