SOUTH AFRICA: Clofed Warns Against Labour Law Changes
The Clothing Federation of South Africa (Clofed) has warned that proposed changes to South Africa's labour laws could have a negative impact on job creation in the clothing industry. Making a submission to the National Assembly's labour committee on the Labour Relations Amendment and the Basic Conditions of Employment Amendment bills, Clofed said some of the provisions would have a negative impact on the sector's growth and would not attract investment or create jobs in the labour intensive industry.
