TAIWAN: Ultra-Thin Fibre Unveiled After $60m Investment
A revolutionary new fibre so thin that just 42 grams would link the earth with the moon 384,000 kilometres away has been developed by an award-winning Taiwanese textile firm.
San Fang Chemical has invested around $60 million in the ultra-thin fibre and artificial leather known as "1/1000 denier". It has already supplied the new generation fabric to Pou Chen which produces footwear and apparel for Nike.
