The event, scheduled to take place on 7–8 April 2027 at the Charlotte Convention Centre in North Carolina, will run alongside the established Textiles Recycling Expo USA.
According to AMI, the new event will have its own range of exhibitors, spanning suppliers of machinery and equipment used in textile manufacturing, finishing and printing, as well as fibre and yarn producers.

Providers of dyes, chemicals, and finishing solutions will participate alongside organisations specialising in testing, inspection, and quality assurance.
The event will also feature exhibitors from automation, AI, smart manufacturing, software, and digital solutions, in addition to consultancies and research and development organisations.
Alongside this, the expo will include a dedicated conference theatre, where attendees can expect keynote presentations, technical sessions, and case studies drawn from industry practice.
AMI said it chose Charlotte, North Carolina, due to the city’s longstanding textile heritage and established manufacturing base, noting that the region remains home to textile innovators, research institutions, technology providers, and manufacturers.
The launch comes after the Textiles Recycling Expo USA, which was held in Charlotte in April 2026 and attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 expert speakers.
AMI stated that introducing the Textiles Manufacturing Expo in 2027 will establish a co-located platform designed to bring together all parts of the textile industry across the entire product lifecycle.
By hosting both events at the same venue, the company expects to facilitate greater interaction among exhibitors and professionals representing manufacturers, technology providers, material suppliers, brands, designers, recyclers, and other specialists within the sector.
AMI exhibition sales manager Chrissy Winegarden said: “This new expo will provide a much-needed forum for the suppliers of raw materials and production technologies to connect with textile manufacturers to discuss the innovations and applications that will move the industry forward. Those manufacturers already attend Textiles Recycling Expo USA in large numbers, so we have a ready-made audience looking for new solutions.”
