Less than a year after the bankruptcy of its former parent company Limited Stores, women’s fashion apparel retailer The Limited is back, with apparel now available in plus size – a first for the brand.

Having made its return to TheLimited.com, the brand has also made its debut in 150 Belk stores with the department store retailer having become the exclusive distributor for the brand, which will be rolled out to a further 74 stores next year.

Meanwhile, The Limited products are now available in plus size – a first for the brand – and the relaunch will also include designs in petite, tall, and denim.

“The Limited provides customers with tailored, feminine looks to seamlessly carry the modern woman from work to her social life,” say Nadine Rauer, Belk executive vice president and general merchandise manager. “We’re committed to not only delivering the products that The Limited is known for, but also expanding the assortment to take this iconic brand to the next level.”

Following the bankruptcy of Limited Stores in January of last year, the retailer was purchased by private equity firm Sycamore Partners through a bankruptcy auction in February with a reported US$26.8m winning bid.
