Danish fashion firm IC Group has announced Hans-Christian Meyer has resigned as CEO of its Tiger of Sweden brand, after less than two years in the role.

In a statement yesterday (18 February) the company said it will commence the recruitment process for a new brand chief executive immediately. No further details were provided regarding the reasons for Meyer’s departure.

He was appointed to the position in June 2017, having previously served as president of retail for EMEA, as well as being part of global senior management, at US apparel giant Ralph Lauren. Prior to this, Meyer worked as international retail director at Danish fashion house Sand CPH A/S.

Speaking at the time of his appointment, Tiger of Sweden said Meyer would lead the brand in a more international direction.

IC Group added the news will have no impact on the company’s outlook for the financial year 2018/19.
