OS Hub is a nonprofit organisation advancing safe and sustainable supply chains through open data, and the partnership brings OS Hub’s map of roughly 2.5 million production locations into the TradeBeyond platform, giving brands and retailers a reliable reference for their supplier facilities as due diligence and traceability regulations make accurate facility data a compliance requirement.

Independent Tier-1 suppliers often record the same Tier-2, Tier-3, or lower-tier facilities under different names, addresses, and business registration codes. This creates duplicate records that are typically caught only through manual review, a task that brand and retail teams, already stretched thin, rarely have the bandwidth to take on.

The duplicates also create blind spots that weaken traceability and complicate, or even duplicate, audits and can leave companies exposed when regulators or customers ask where products are made.

“Supply chains are being asked to respond to more variables than ever before, from changing trade conditions and sourcing strategies to more complex traceability and compliance requirements,” said Michael Hung, CEO, TradeBeyond. “Our partnership with Open Supply Hub means our customers no longer have to piece together facility data on their own. With Athena AI checking supplier-entered facility data against OS Hub’s reference, compliance becomes part of everyday work rather than a separate exercise.”

Natalie Grillon, CEO, Open Supply Hub added: “Supply chain transparency works best when everyone is operating from the same reference point. By bringing open data and OS IDs into TradeBeyond, brands and retailers can connect their production location records to a shared, public source, making it easier to keep supplier information accurate and to strengthen resilience and accountability across their supply chains.”

The partnership pairs OS Hub’s map, the most complete open map of global production locations, with Supplier Management and Supplier Compliance, a core part of TradeBeyond’s end-to-end PLM, sourcing, costing, production, and quality management platform.
