TURKEY: Textile Giant Yesim Tekstil Eyes Export Growth
Turkish textile giant Yesim Tekstil said on Tuesday it expects its exports to top $160 million in 2002 as it continues to manufacture for famous brands including Gap, Marks & Spencer, Zara, Nike, Eddie Bauer, Timberlands, Tommy Hillfiger. The firm, which exported garments worth $132 million in 2000 operates a factory that covers an area of 240,000 square metres and has a daily production capacity of 125,000 units of ready-wear and household textiles.
