UK: M&S Director Joins Treasury Board
An executive director of high street giant Marks and Spencer, Laurel Powers-Freeling, was on Wednesday appointed to the board of directors of the Bank of England, the Treasury. Powers-Freeling, who is chief executive of M&S Financial Services and an executive director of MS, will replace Sir Neville Simms on the 19-strong Court of the Bank of England when he retires tomorrow. The court operates as the BoE's board of directors.
