UK: M&S Posts Strong Sales Figures Thanks To Clothing

British high street giant Marks & Spencer on Wednesday showed it was well on the road to recovery as it unveiled the best Christmas sales in years - helped by strong demand for its clothing ranges. Clothing sales were 10.9 per cent up for the seven weeks to January 12, while like-for-like sales rose 8.3 per cent. In the 15 weeks to January 12 clothing sales were also up eight per cent.
