UK: New Look Suffers Same-Store Sales Slowdown
Leading women's fashion retailer New Look Group on Thursday posted a sharp slowdown in same-store sales growth but said it still expects to hit its profit targets for the fiscal year just ended. The Weymouth-based operator of nearly 500 stores saw its shares fall five per cent in early trade as it revealed UK same-store sales rose just 1.5 per cent in the 10 weeks to March 22 compared to city forecasts of 3-7 per cent.
