UK: Ted Baker Sales Up, Looks To US
In the two months running-up to Christmas, retail sales at designer clothing group Ted Baker rose by 24.7 per cent, helped by a good recovery in tourist-driven sales in south-east England and strong trading in its northern stores. Finance director Lindsay Page said strong demand for the men's and women's casual collections led to the improvement. Mr Page also said stock levels were in line with expectations, and the group would start the new season "with a clean stock position."
