The Designer Room Ltd, a designer discount chain, has closed 18 of its 46 outlets and appointed Begbies Traynor to sell the business as a going concern. Founded in 1995, The Designer Room has an annual turnover of £33 million and employs over 490 people. It is the third largest business in the UK's discount designer fashion market and its stores sell designer labels including Elle, DKNY, Jasper Conran, KLASS and Versace.
