Men’s wear retailer JoS A Bank Clothiers Inc has booked a 31.7% hike in second quarter profit, helped by a 9.2% rise in same-store sales.

“Our combination of offering high quality men’s clothing at a great value continued to drive solid sales growth for the quarter,” said R Neal Black, president and CEO. “Combined with the leveraging of our operating expenses, [this] has resulted in strong earnings growth.”

JoS A Bank Clothiers, which designs, manufactures and retails men’s tailored and casual clothing, sportswear, footwear and accessories operates 490 stores.
