High-end casual apparel company People’s Liberation posted a narrow second quarter loss after revenues slumped 31.2%, hit by slow sales from its Charlotte Russe distribution and poor wholesale revenues.

The US company said retailer closures and reduced inventory had affected revenues for its William Rast and People’s Liberation brands.

“We are focused on building awareness and visibility by increasing the number of our branded stores for both William Rast and J Lindeberg,” said company chairman and CEO Colin Dyne.

“Both our J Lindeberg and William Rast retail stores have seen increased momentum and awareness.”
